Apryl Allen Day

Apryl Allen is a member of the Comanche Nation and is actively involved in efforts to preserve her tribe’s dying language and stories handed down. With the help of Elders and tribal members, organized by Videll Yackeschi, Apryl recorded her album Shape Shifter and returned to Oklahoma for her Record Release Party on November 7, 2008. During the event she was surprised by Chairman Wallace Coffey with a Proclamation naming November 7th “Apryl Allen Day”

NAMMY Best Pop Recording

Apryl Allen took home the Best Pop Recording at the 2009 NAMMYs (Native American Music Awards). She was nominated for four NAMMY Categories: Debut Artist, Best Pop Recording, Record of the Year, and Song/Single of the Year.

Miss Arizona

Apryl won the title of Miss Arizona-USA 1993 on May 23, 1992

Miss USA Pageant

Apryl represented the State of Arizona at this Miss USA pageant on February 19, 1993. She took home 1st Runner Up for Best Costume—a traditional Jingle Dress complete with an Eagle Feather Fan
